Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The Walker Arms shines when it comes to its friendly atmosphere and attentive staff. Many patrons highlight the cheerful service and the willingness of staff to accommodate special requests, making it family-friendly and completely approachable.

Food quality gets rave reviews, especially the Sunday roast and the mac and cheese, famed for its gooey cheesiness. The extensive drinks selection, particularly the beer and wine choices, also garners appreciation.

Regular live music nights and performances create a vibrant, inviting space that energizes the pub atmosphere, pulling locals and visitors alike to join in. The outdoor seating area is perfect for enjoying the sunny weather, proving popular during warmer months.

Most Disliked

While The Walker Arms offers a cozy atmosphere, some guests find that peak hours can lead to crowded tables and longer wait times for food and service. Fridays stand out as particularly busy, reaching full capacity quickly. This can detract from an otherwise enjoyable experience.

A few patrons mention that the menu could occasionally benefit from more options for those with dietary restrictions. Though the pub provides basic lighter options, a broader range could enhance the overall dining experience for everyone.

Noise levels during live events sometimes exceed what some patrons expect from a typical pub, which might not suit everyone looking for a quiet evening out.

Stopped off looking for somewhere to eat, as most places didn't serve food until after 5pm. What a lovely little pub! The staff were lovely and friendly, brought our food over with a genuine smile and excellent service. The food is absolutely delicious and properly cooked, not some microwave job like some other establishments. My daughter absolutely loved the Mac n Cheese, deliciously cheesy and stringy cheese. The all day brunch was spot on too, hash browns were lovely and crispy but not greasy and really fluffy inside. My vegetable lasagna was really lovely too. Highly recommend this place for food, drinks and atmosphere.

Proper pub, nice selection of drinks, pool tables & dart boards, nice decor with live sports and plenty of inside seating, large beer garden with lots of benches and a large carpark. They also do food but we didn't have any and from the other reviews it looks lovely.

Great pub. Lovely staff! We went on game day and joined a large South African contingent, which was lovely! I think it's quite pricey (We dont go out that much anymore so could be the going rate!)
